DTEK Group invests $1 bln in Ukrainian economy during crisis

MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - The overall amount of DTEK Group's investments in its operations in Ukraine, not including the Tiligulskaya wind farm project, stood at around $550 million in 2023, reaching $1 billion since the start of the crisis, DTEK Group CEO Maxim Timchenko said.

"The total volume of investments in DTEK Group, excluding the Tiligulskaya wind farm project (200 million euros), stood at approximately $550 million in 2023, and at $1 billion" since the onset of the crisis, Timchenko told Ukrainian media on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

DTEK "has invested huge amounts in the grids, power plants, coal mining, oil and gas" during the crisis, he said.

"It is obvious that there are not many Ukrainian companies that have invested such large amounts in the country's economy during the crisis," Timchenko said.
