Russia's Vkusvill expands presence in UAE, starts distributing products to local chains

MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - Russian retailer Vkusvill is expanding its presence in the United Arab Emirates, a company release said.

The retailer has gone offline and started to supply its private label products to the shelves of local UAE retailer Grandiose. Currently, the Russian company's products are available in 10 retail stores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

In addition, the company has increased its number of online partners, and is now working with aggregators and marketplaces such as as Deliveroo, NowNow, Careem and Wee.

Currently, Vkusvill sells 67 items in UAE.

Vkusvill is one of Russia's fastest growing retailers. The company positions itself as a chain of health food stores.

As of January 2024, the network consists of over 1,850 stores in 152 Russian cities, over 140 dark stores (stores for staging delivery orders, with no direct customer access), a mobile application and an online store.
