Uzbek president to visit China next week

TASHKENT. Jan 19 (Interfax) - Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to China on January 23-25 for summit talks, the Uzbek presidential press service said on Friday.

"Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to China on January 23-25 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping," the press service said.

The visit program includes summit negotiations and a number of bilateral meetings, it said.

The events will address further strengthening of the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership and expansion of full-scale practical cooperation.

Mirziyoyev will also visit a Chinese region and will meet with the executives of major Chinese companies and banking and financial institutions, the press service said.
