Ukrainian Railways increases passenger traffic by 33% during New Year holidays

MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Railways transported 1.6 million passengers during the holiday season between December 21, 2023, and January 10, 2024, up 33% from the respective period of 2022/2023, Ukrainian media said, citing the company press service.

The company reported operating 104 trains throughout the country during holidays, including ten additional trains, which performed 92 trips.

Additionally, Ukrainian Railways saw a surge in the transportation of child groups to and from the Carpathian Mountains on New Year and Christmas holidays.
