David Lomjaria heads up Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry

MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax) - The Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry, formerly known as Ukroboronprom, held its first meeting, Ukraine's Strategic Industries Minister Alexander Kamyshin told Ukrainian journalists on the sidelines of a Ukraine House Davos event on Tuesday evening.

The Supervisory Board elected David Lomjaria as its head, board member Timofei Milovanov told journalists.

"Members were also elected to the audit, compensation and strategic committees," Milovanov said.

All five Supervisory Board members attended the meeting, he said.

Lomjaria, Ile de France managing partner, JSC Aragvi Ventures executive director and Sunenergy Bank Supervisory Board head (all Georgian companies), was endorsed as a member of the JSC Ukrainian Railways Supervisory Board as the state's representative following a competition.

The Ukrainian government approved the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry in late December 2023. Along with Lomjaria and Milovanov, who earlier headed the Ukroboronprom Supervisory Board, it includes Alexei Goncharuk, an ex-prime minister and former member of the Aerorazvedka Supervisory Board, Sergei Konovets, a former member of the Ukreximbank Supervisory Board and a former member of the Naftogaz of Ukraine Board, and Lynndy Smith, president and CEO of Arizona Defense & Industry Coalition (AZDIC).
