Ukrgazvydobuvannya pays UAH 23.8 bln gas rent to budget in 2023
MOSCOW. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Ukrgazvydobuvannya (UGV) paid UAH 23.8 billion in gas rent to the consolidated budget for 2023, Ukrainian media quoted a press release by the gas producer as saying.
The company said 5% or UAH 1.19 billion of this went to local and regional budgets in the regions where the company operates.
The biggest payments were UAH 584.16 million and UAH 496.34 million to the Kharkov region and Poltava region, respectively.
Rent is based on the sale price of Ukrgazvydobuvannya's natural gas in favor of Naftogaz Ukraine.
UGV aimed to boost gas production by 1 billion cubic meters to 13.5 bcm in 2023. Saleable gas production fell 3% to 12.5 bcm in 2022.
According to preliminary data, gas production rose more than 700 million cubic meters in 2023. UGV was producing an average daily 37.5 mcm at the end of 2023.
Naftogaz owns 100% of UGV.
