Putin to meet with Russian, N. Korean FMs - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui on Tuesday to hear about the results of their negotiations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Today, the foreign ministers of North Korea and Russia will brief the president on the results of their negotiations, on how discussions proceeded in furtherance of the agreements reached between the heads of state," Peskov told reporters.

Lavrov and Choe, who arrived in Russia on Monday on an official visit, are holding negotiations in Moscow on Tuesday.

Lavrov visited Pyongyang in October 2023, where he held talks at the North Korean Foreign Ministry and was received by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The visit was carried out in furtherance of the agreements reached by Putin and Kim at Vostochny Cosmodrome on September 13, 2023.
