Capital investment in Azerbaijan's economy rose 10% in 2023

BAKU. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Capital investment in Azerbaijan's economy rose 9.8% in 2023 to 20.297 billion manat, the State Statistics Committee said.

Investment in the oil and gas sector grew 10.9% and investment in the non-oil sector grew 9.3%.

Production facilities received 12.485 billion manat or 61.5% of all capital investment, while 6.84 billion manat or 33.7% was invested in the construction of service sector facilities and 971.4 million manat in housing construction, 4.8% of the total.

Foreign investment amounted to 3.885 billion manat or 19.1% of all capital investment, and local investment to 16.412 billion manat or 80.9%.

Capital investment rose 5.5% in 2022.
