Ukrainian govt appoints Korikov SNRIU head

MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has appointed Oleg Korikov head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU).

A relevant decision was made at a meeting of the government on Friday, Ukrainian media outlets said with a reference to the government's representative to the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

Korikov held the post of the first deputy SNRIU head before his appointment.
