Ukrainian PM invites French companies to join in reconstruction projects

MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has met with newly appointed French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne in Kiev.

"The first visit in office to Ukraine testifies to the extraordinary level of France's attention to our country. Thanked for all-round support. France is among the countries that are actively helpful in this regard," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on social media last Saturday.

Ukraine counts on France's further support for financial initiatives at the EU level, "which are vital for us," and invited French companies to be more actively involved in Ukraine's reconstruction projects, Shmygal said.
