N. Korean foreign minister to pay visit to Russia

MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed reports about the North Korean foreign minister's upcoming visit to Russia.

"Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Choe Son Hui will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation on January 15-17 at an invitation of Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website.

The Chinese CGTN television channel said with a reference to the Korean Central News Agency earlier on Sunday that Choe would pay a visit to Russia.
