Number of Russians visiting Seychelles up by quarter YoY in 2023 - statistics bureau
MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - More than 38,000 Russians visited Seychelles in 2023, the third largest number of arrivals in the archipelago from the same country, as follows from the National Bureau of Statistics Seychelles data.
This figure was 24% higher than in 2022 and 18% higher than in 2021, when the number of Russians visiting Seychelles, 32,400, hit an all-time high.
With 54,900 visitors, Germany accounted for the largest number of tourists who travelled to Seychelles in 2023, followed in this respect by France (42,400), Russia (38,200), the United Kingdom (19,870), Italy (19,500), the United Arab Emirates (16,400), Switzerland (14,700), Israel (12,900), the United States (9,900), and South Africa (9,400).
The overall number of foreign travelers who visited Seychelles in 2023 was 350,870, or 5% more than in the previous year.
