Ukraine opened 410 new int'l bus routes, closed 416 in 2023
MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Restoration Ministry opened 410 new international road transport passenger routes and terminated 416 inefficient ones in 2023, Ukrainian media said, citing Deputy Restoration Minister Sergei Derkach's remarks at a meeting with carriers on Wednesday.
"We opened more than 400 routes to foreign countries. We are continuing to verify routes with other countries to create a relevant route network and opportunities for opening new routes," Derkach said.
The new 410 international routes have been verified with six European Union countries - Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Hungary, and Romania, he said.
As for the closed routes, 140 of them were with Russia, 140 with Poland and the other 121 with Moldova, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia.
