Ukraine's Energoatom pays over 21 bln hryvni to state budget in 2023

MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company paid over 21 billion hryvni as taxes and other dues to the state budget in 2023.

"This is one billion hryvni more than the company paid to the state budget in 2021 when all 15 reactor units of nuclear power plants were in operation," Ukrainian media cited the company as saying on a social network.

According to Energoatom head Pyotr Kotin, the company managed to pay the taxes and dues to the state budget in 2023 while operating nine reactor units in the Kiev-controlled territory.

As reported, Energoatom posted 68-billion-hryvni revenue and paid almost 11 billion hryvni as taxes to the state budget in the first half of 2023.
