Prodimex, Russia's leading sugar producer, establishes breeding company

MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax) - Prodimex Group of Companies, one of Russia's leading sugar producers, has created a new subsidiary, Prodimex-Breeding LLC, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities shows.

The group currently owns 14 sugar factories. Prodimex controls a land bank of 900,000 hectares in the country's most favorable regions for agriculture.

Last season (August 2022-July 2023), the Group produced more than 1.2 million tonnes of sugar for the first time in its history. In the current season, the 1 mmillion tonne figure was achieved by the end of November 2023, three weeks earlier than in the previous season. Half of the volume came from the company's factories in the Voronezh region, while the rest was produced by enterprises in the Southern District.
