Pyotr Kotin becomes JSC Energoatom acting CEO

MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax) - President of Ukraine's Energoatom state-owned nuclear operator Pyotr Kotin has been appointing to the post of acting CEO of recently established JSC Energoatom.

Kotin's appointment is in line with the Ukrainian government's December 29, 2023 decree, titled "On the Creation of JSC Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company", which was published on January 9, Ukrainian media said on Tuesday, citing the company's statement.

Hartmut Jacob, Yury Sheik and Alexander Ostapovets have been appointed JSC Energoatom acting board members.

The government's decree also approved the charter of JSC Energoatom, the provision on its supervisory board and the provision on the principles of the company's formation.

"Under the decree, the joint-stock company is the legal successor to the property and non-property rights of state enterprise Energoatom. Its standalone units will continue to function as standalone units of the joint-stock company (branches, representative offices)," it said.

JSC Energoatom shares will be issued. The company's charter capital will be approximately 306.245 billion hryvni.
