Softline buys Russian payment terminal developer Inversum

MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax) - Softline Group has acquired Inversum, a Russian vendor of payment equipment, the Russian IT group reported in a press release.

Inversum, which makes POS terminal equipment, was acquired by Sky Technologies, a company that has been working on the Russian payments market since 2011 and became part of Softline Group in 2023. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Inversum was registered in 2017 and its shareholders were Pavel Aleksandrov with 64.5%, Sergei Bolkisev with 15.5%, Pavel Okhorzin with 12.5% and Yevgeny Savelyev with 7.5%, data from the SPARK-Interfax system showed. The company closed 2022 with a loss of 1.2 million rubles on revenue of 5.1 million rubles.

"The combined competencies and resources of both companies will make it possible to develop the first comprehensive, import-independent line of Russian payment terminals on the Russian market, as well as expand our presence on the Russian payment market and abroad," Softline said.

The companies plan to jointly produce a line of payment terminals based on equipment and software that is completely Russian made. They plan to launch a pilot project and the first batch of terminals in 2024.
