Ukraine exports 672,000 tonnes of sunflower oil in Dec 2023 - analysts

MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - Ukraine increased its sunflower oil exports by 25% to nearly 672,000 tonnes in December of the 2023-2024 marketing year month-on-month - the highest monthly figure since January 2022, Ukrainian media said, citing the APK-Inform news and data analysis agency.

It is also the second largest result for December since Ukraine began exporting sunflower oil, the news agency said.

The main importers of Ukrainian sunflower oil in December 2023 were Romania and Turkey, accounting for around 25% and 12%, respectively, of Ukraine's sunflower oil exports.

Ukraine exported nearly 2 million tonnes of sunflower oil in September-December of the 2023-2024 marketing year, 4% more than in the same period of the previous marketing year, it said.
