Ukraine quits CIS agreement on interstate documentary encrypted communication system

MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government on Wednesday, January 3, approved the country's withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) agreement on creating an interstate documentary encrypted communication system, Ukrainian media said, citing the government's representative to the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

"Ukraine's withdrawal from the CIS agreement on the creation of an interstate documentary encrypted communication system, dated October 18, 1996, has been finalized," Melnichuk said on social media.
