Ukraine quits CIS Council of commanders of Border troops
MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has signed a decree ordering Ukraine's withdrawal from an agreement which created the CIS Council of commanders of Border troops.
The decree was published on the website of the head of state, Ukrainian media reported.
"Pursuant to clause 3 of Part One of Article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine, guided by Article 24 of the Ukrainian law 'On the international treaties of Ukraine' and Article 56 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, I hereby decree a withdrawal from the Resolution to create the Council of commanders of Border troops, done at Moscow on July 6, 1992," the decree said.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has been instructed to notify the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States accordingly.
