Yerevan agrees to meeting with Baku in Washington in trilateral format - Armenian Security Council secretary

YEREVAN. Jan 9 (Interfax) - Yerevan has given its consent to a meeting with Baku in a trilateral format in Washington, Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said.

"Armenia has given its consent to a meeting in Washington. When all the parties reach a final agreement, Armenia stands ready to attend this meeting," Grigoryan said on Armenian Public Television.

Grigoryan said he discussed the matter with U.S. Secretary of State's Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono at a meeting in Yerevan on Monday.

"The purpose of the meeting is to continue the negotiations in Washington in a trilateral format and make progress in signing a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Grigoryan said.
