Rosselkhoznadzor permits shipments of hatching eggs from six Turkish producers
MOSCOW. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Rosselkhoznadzor has authorized shipments of hatching eggs from six Turkish enterprises located in areas free of bird flu starting December 29, the agency said.
"The decision was made in connection with the existing need for hatching eggs on the part of Russian companies involved in foreign economic activity, as well with the understanding that the Turkish side guarantees the compliance of these products with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of Russia and the EAEU," the statement says.
Rosselkhoznadzor reserves the right to conduct inspections of enterprises that have received permission to export their products to Russia.
The number of Turkish enterprises that have the right to export hatching eggs to Russia has increased to 31, the register posted on the Rosselkhoznadzor website shows. In addition, a number of poultry farms are allowed to supply day-old chicks. There are 21 enterprises with the right to ship food eggs, and shipments are expected to arrive after the New Year.
