Bad weather causes multiple problems in Ukrainian energy system - ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Adverse weather has resulted in cutting power supply to 52 communities in Ukraine, including 16 in the Khmelnitsky region and the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk region each, 14 in the Ternopol region, four in the Kharkov region, and two in the Sumy region, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the Energy Ministry's post on its social account on Tuesday.

Another 282 communities, including in the Sumy and Kharkov regions and in the Kiev-controlled parts of the Donetsk, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions, have no electricity for other reasons.

In addition, 16,000 customers have been switched off from the grid in the Kharkov region and 4,900 in Kherson.

"On the whole, no scheduled outages are planned in the power grid," the ministry said.
