Ukrainian pipe producer Centravis stops production for two-week winter holiday

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - PJSC Centravis Production Ukraine (part of the Centravis Ltd. holding), a large manufacturer of seamless stainless steel pipes, has stopped production for two weeks.

As reported by Ukrainian media, a statement from sales director Artem Atanasov to customers published on the company's website says that, during "our two-week winter holidays [...] the support team will be available for any urgent needs that you may have during this period."

Atanasov also expressed concern about a possible delay in shipments of pipes from the Ukrainian company to the markets of Asia and the Middle East.

"Due to disruptions in the Red Sea trade route, we expect possible delays in the deliveries of orders to markets in Asia and the Middle East, which could last up to two weeks," he said.

It was previously reported that Centravis Production Ukraine plans to export 12,300 tonnes of pipes in 2023. In 2022, 11,600 tonnes of seamless stainless steel pipes were shipped (a 33% decrease compared to the previous year).

Centravis was founded in 2000. Its main production facilities are located in Nikopol, Dnepropetrovsk region.

The Centravis holding was created on what was the Nikopol Stainless Pipe Plant CJSC, and Uvis Group service and trading companies. The company's shareholders are members of the Atanasov family.
