Russian govt extends ban on trucks from Europe

MOSCOW. Dec 25 (Interfax) - The Russian government extends the ban on trucks from the European Union, the UK, Norway and Ukraine, the government said on Telegram.

The ban was imposed in 2022 in response to the EU's ban on trucks with Russian and Belarusian license plates.

The government said the ban would stay in effect until the reasons for its imposition are no longer present.

As before, exceptions will be made, in particular, for transportation of postal packages, diplomatic mail and humanitarian aid. In addition, the ban will not apply to technical support vehicles transporting equipment and sports cars to the venues of sports competitions, the government said on Telegram.
