Tokayev calls on U.S. to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation with Kazakhstan

ASTANA. Dec 22 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has had a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan Daniel Rosenblum to discuss bilateral relations and global and regional security, the president's press service said in a press release on Friday.

"The head of state called economic cooperation a driving force of bilateral relations and stressed the need to expand trade and economic and investment cooperation, including within the framework of the Investment Council," the press release said.

Tokayev and Rosenblum also discussed ways to expand contacts in such areas as trade, transport, logistics, green energy, the environment and mining.
