Russian airlines increase passenger traffic in Nov almost 9% YoY to 7.6 mln people

MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax) - Passenger traffic on Russian airlines in November 2023 increased almost 9% compared to the same period last year, to 7.6 million people, statistics from the Federal Air Transport Agency show.

This included 5.8 million on internal flights, up 4%, and 1.8 million on international flights, an increase of 28%.

Revenue passenger kilometers rose 17% year-on-year to 19.3 billion RPK in November.

Some 97.7 million people were transported by air in January-November, up 12% year-on-year.

The comprehensive development program for Russian air transport projects that passenger traffic will rise 8% in 2023 as a whole to 103 million.
