Russian-Kuwaiti relations will keep developing in interests of stronger peace in Mideast - Putin

MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - Russia and Kuwait will continue to develop their friendly relations productively in various fields in the interests of stronger peace and security in the Middle East and to the benefit of the two countries' peoples, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Your Highness, please accept my sincere congratulation on your accession to the throne. The relationship between Russia and Kuwait has traditionally been friendly in nature. I am sure that this relationship will continue to develop productively in various fields to the benefit of our peoples and in the interests of stronger peace and security in the Middle East," Putin said in a congratulatory telegram to Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the emir of Kuwait, published on the Kremlin website.

Putin wished him success in his political activities, good health, and wellbeing.
