Total of 302 vessels with 10 mln tonnes of exports pass through Ukrainian maritime corridor

MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - In total, 302 vessels carrying 10 million tonnes of goods from the Greater Odessa ports have passed through the maritime corridor unilaterally declared by Ukraine, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Restoration Minister Alexander Kubrakov said on Tuesday.

"The vessels have exported products of Ukrainian farmers and other goods to 24 countries around the world," Ukrainian media quoted him as saying on social media.

The range of goods has been expanded and their export deliveries have started over the four months of the corridor's operation, Kubrakov said. The volume of agricultural products has significantly increased from 278,000 tonnes in the first month to almost 5 million tonnes now.

Since the corridor was launched, the Greater Odessa ports have accepted 337 new vessels for loading, and they are preparing to accept another 79 vessels in the near future.
