Russia's deliveries of oil and petroleum products to China in 10M exceed 2022 total, coal shipments to set record in 2023

BEIJING. Dec 15 (Interfax) - Russia will supply record volumes of coal to China this year - more than 100 million tonnes, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters after the 20th Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission on energy cooperation held in Beijing.

"This year we will ensure record coal supplies to China - more than 100 million tonnes," Novak said.

He emphasized that China "for us is the main partner in the Asia-Pacific region both in terms of trade turnover, and the volume of cooperation, and the implementation of joint investment projects both in Russia and China."

Novak also said that in 10M 2023, Russia delivered more oil and oil products to China than in the whole of last year: "This year we have already delivered more volumes of oil and oil products to China in the first 10 months of the year than in the whole of last year, and we are also supplying electricity".
