Gazprom to construct LNG plant in Belarus - Belarusian Energy Ministry

MINSK. Dec 15 (Interfax) - PJSC Gazprom plans to construct a liquefied natural gas processing plant in Belarus, Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich said online at the Russian Gas international forum.

"A striking example of utilizing new technologies and joint work of PJSC Gazprom and the Republic of Belarus has been the signing on the sidelines of the XII St. Petersburg International Gas Forum of an agreement to construct a plant to process liquefied natural gas in Belarus," Karankevich said.

The website of Great Stone Industrial Park reports that the industrial park's administration and Gazprom Helium Service LLC have signed an agreement of intent to implement the investment project. In accordance with the document, the parties will study the possibility of creating a production and marketing infrastructure for liquefied natural gas on the territory of the industrial park.

The leadership of Belarus' Industry Ministry has repeatedly stated that Belarusian mechanic engineers intend to expand the line of vehicles operating on gas engine fuel.
