Naftogaz starts drafting decarbonization strategy

MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Naftogaz has begun drafting a decarbonization strategy for the group, Ukrainian media quoted company head Alexei Chernyshov as saying on social media.

He said all group divisions and subsidiaries would be working on the strategy. The plan of action will include an assessment of the current status, goals, means of funding and timelines for delivery.

"It's a mindful approach to the environment we live in. The future of our gas exports to the EU also directly depends on how responsibly we approach its production, storage and transportation, because there are clear standards and requirements for this," Chernyshov said.
