Norway steps up financial support for Ukraine - Norwegian PM

MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store has said he hopes that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky "will leave Oslo with a strong sense of support."

"Norway is announcing today precise additional support to Ukraine," Ukrainian media quoted Store as saying following a meeting with Zelensky in Oslo on Wednesday.

The support package amounts to $1 billion in 2023 to pay "nurses, doctors, teachers and run his [Zelensky's] administration," Store said. "We are about to leave that year now, and then we are also increasing our financial and humanitarian support to around $800 million this year," he said.
