Ukraine approves grant from IBRD, IDA grant for housing repairs

MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved 4.5 million euros in grants from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA) to fund repairs of damaged housing, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"We're making two decisions today enabling us to receive more funding for reconstruction. The first one amends a grant agreement with the European Investment Bank on upgrading water supply and wastewater disposal systems in Nikolayev. The grant will be increased to 8 million from 5 million euros," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying at a government meeting on Tuesday.

The second decision approves the receipt of 4.5 million euros in grants from the IBRD and IDA for repairs of damaged housing, he said.
