Agreement on restructuring Ukrenergo's state bank loans practically reached - company head

MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Ukrenergo is finalizing the loan restructuring process with state banks, and the negotiations are likely to succeed, Ukrenergo CEO Vladimir Kudritsky said.

"The process has practically been finalized. I am sure we will come to terms," Ukrainian media quoted Kudritsky as telling journalist at a forum in Kiev on Tuesday.

He did not provide further details.

As reported, Ukrenergo borrowed 10.25 billion hryvni from state banks, such as Oschadbank, Ukrgasbank and Ukreximbank, in 2021, in particular, to compensate green tariffs for industrial renewable energy facilities.

On December 9, 2023, the National Commission for State Regulation in the Fields of Energy and Public Utilities, approving the Ukrenergo transmission tariff, cut the company's expenses on repaying state bank loans by 4.3 billion hryvni, to almost 3 billion hryvni, in connection with their possible restructuring.
