Russia, Equatorial Guinea discuss space cooperation

MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Roscosmos General Director Yury Borisov and Equatorial Guinean Vice-President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue have held talks at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Roscosmos said on Tuesday.

"We are happy to see how interested in space our colleagues from Equatorial Guinea are. I think we can discuss key areas of possible cooperation," the Roscosmos press service quoted Borisov as saying.

In turn, Nguema Obiang Mangue thanked Russia for hospitality and said he was "very impressed" by what he has seen.

"While at the Cosmonaut Training Center, the Equatorial Guinean delegation familiarized itself with the training process of Russian cosmonauts, saw a number of simulators and held negotiations with the Roscosmos head on a number of prospective bilateral space projects," the press service said.
