Russia exiting international cotton advisory committee

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Russia is terminating its membership in the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), with the corresponding government order signed on December 11, 2023, and posted on the official legal information portal.

"Accept the proposal of the Russian Economic Development Ministry, as agreed with the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Russian Finance Ministry, and the Russian Agriculture Ministry, to terminate the Russian Federation's membership in the ICAC as of 2023," according to the document.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry has been instructed to notify the executive director of the committee in accordance with the established procedure on terminating the Russian Federation's membership in the organization.
