Sweden's Auriant plans to mine around 19,000 oz. of gold in 2024

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Sweden's Auriant Mining, which mines gold in Russia, plans to produce 580-600 kg, or 18,600-19,300 ounces, of gold in 2024, the company said in a statement.

Auriant said that the capacity of the carbon-in-leach (CIL) plant at Tardan was expected to be 390,000-420,000 tonnes of ore. The company plans to supply it with raw materials from the deposit of the same name and heap leaching tailings. Heap leaching operations at Tardan were suspended in 2019.

The forecast has been 630-670 kg, or 20,300-21,500 oz., for the current year, with output possibly declining 8%-10% year-on-year in 2024. Actual mining totaled 518 kg, or 16,700 oz., in 9M 2023.

Auriant Mining is a Swedish company that focuses on geological exploration and gold mining in Russia. The portfolio of assets comprises four projects, including the operating enterprises at Tardan in Tuva and at Solkokon in Transbaikal.
