Armenia's Central Bank cuts refinancing rate to 9.25% from 9.5%

YEREVAN. Dec 12 (Interfax) - The board of the Central Bank of Armenia on Tuesday decided to reduce the refinancing rate 0.25 percentage points, setting it at 9.25%, the regulator said in a statement.

This is already the third rate cut since the beginning of autumn. The Central Bank reduced the refinancing rate 0.5 percentage points to 9.75% in September, as well as to 9.5% in October.

The Central Bank board in June cut the refinancing rate 0.25 percentage points for the first time in nearly a year to 10.5%, and it was decided at a meeting on August 1 to reduce the rate another 0.25 percentage points to 10.25%.
