Absolute majority of foreign drugs continue to be supplied to Russia - ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 11 (Interfax) - Adjustments made to the product range on the Russian drug market are surgical and mostly result from problems experienced by the manufacturer, while Russia continues to import drugs, Dmitry Galkin, director of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry's department for the development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry, said.

"Fortunately, the absolute majority of foreign drugs continue to be supplied to our country. All manufacturing companies keep working," Galkin said at a Federation Council meeting on the substitution of imports in the pharmaceutical industry.

"There are some surgical rotations in the product range but, as a rule, they are always related to either the economy or certain problems experienced directly by the manufacturer," he said.
