Ukraine cuts steel output 7%, pig iron 11% in 11M

MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Ukraine's steel roll production fell 7.2% year-on-year in January-November 2023 to 4.864 million tonnes according to preliminary data, Ukrainian media quoted the Ukrmetallurgprom association as saying.

Crude steel output fell 7.3%, to 5.707 million tonnes and pig iron fell 11.3% to 5.447 million tonnes.

Steel roll production plummeted 72.2% in 2022 to 5.35 million tonnes in 2022, crude steel output fell 70.6% to 6.263 million tonnes and pig iron fell 69.7% to 6.391 million tonnes.
