UK imposes sanctions on 17 Belarusians, including judges, prosecutors

LONDON. Dec 8 (Interfax) - The UK added 17 persons, mostly judges and prosecutors, to the Belarus sanctions list on Friday, the British Treasury said in a statement.

"Seventeen entries have been added to the Consolidated List and are now subject to an asset freeze," the statement said.

The sanctions will apply to judges of the Belarusian Supreme Court, the Minsk City Court and the Gomel Regional Court and employees of the Prosecutor General's Office.
