DCH Group's Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant doubles output of rolled products in 11M

MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant, part of Ukrainian businessman Alexander Yaroslavsky's DCH Group, almost doubled output of rolled products in January-November to 100,400 tonnes.

Ukrainian media quoted in-house newspaper DCH Steel as saying the plant produced 8,100 tonnes of rolled metal in November, down 12.6% compared to the previous month but up 11-fold year-on-year.

Coke production rose 34.7% year-on-year in 11M to 268,900 tonnes, including 23,400 tonnes in November, down 11.4% from October 2023 but up 47% from November 2022.

Production manager Yury Mikhailov said most of the company's products were channels and angles, that is, rolled products for construction, but orders for the winter period were modest.

"Regarding our plant, we produce the vast majority of products for miners, whose work is not seasonal. Negotiations are underway to launch rolling shop No. 2 after the New Year holidays. Meanwhile preparatory repairs and maintenance are being carried out as usual," he said.

Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant reduced output of rolled products 74.2% in 2022 to 58,400 tonnes and coke 56.3% to 211,300 tonnes.
