Putin describes Russian-Saudi relations as stable, very good

RIYADH. Dec 6 (Interfax) - The Russian-Saudi relationship can be described as very good and stable, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"We have stable and very good relations in the sphere of political interaction, on the economy, [and] in humanitarian areas. Naturally, it's very important right now for all of us to exchange information and assessments regarding what is going on in the region," Putin said during his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud on Wednesday.

Over the past seven years, the Russian-Saudi relationship has "acquired a quality and reached a level never seen before," he said.

"This has been achieved thanks to your father's wise policy, the Guardian of the two holy sites, the King of Saudi Arabia, and with your direct involvement," he said.

"Our meeting is undoubtedly timely. I thank you once again for the invitation," Putin said.
