Baku hopes for productive meeting in Brussels on normalizing relations with Yerevan - Aliyev

BAKU. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Baku hopes the next trilateral meeting in Brussels on normalizing relations with Yerevan will be productive, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.

"Taking into account that there have been already five meetings, the next meeting should be result-oriented. We [Armenian, Azerbaijan and the European Council] need to agree about a draft statement before. And the meeting must be well-prepared," Aliyev said at the international forum Karabakh: Back Home After 30 Years. Accomplishments and Challenges.

As reported, the Azerbaijani president, the Armenian prime minister and the European Council president held the previous trilateral meeting in Brussels in July 2023. The next meeting was scheduled for October but did not happen.
