Oil company reps to be part of Russian president's delegation during visit to UAE - Kremlin aide

MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Representatives of Russian oil and gas companies plan to be part of the delegation led by President Vladimir Putin during his visit to the United Arab Emirates, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters

"Our delegation includes business representatives directly involved in energy issues, we'll see [whether any agreements are signed]. We plan for some of them to be involved in the negotiations," Ushakov said, when asked whether there had been progress in talks to expand the activities of Gazprom Neft and Lukoil in the UAE.

"I won't say [representatives of which companies are planned] yet," he said.

Putin will visit the UAE and Saudi Arabia on December 6. "During negotiations with United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the parties plan to consider the state and prospects of continued development of Russian-Emirati multifaceted cooperation, as well as relevant international problems, with an emphasis placed on the state of affairs in the Middle Eastern region," the Kremlin said. While in Riyadh, Putin plans to meet with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, it said.
