Armenian delegation won't attend CSTO December events in Moscow

YEREVAN. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan will not participate in events of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) due in Moscow in December, Simonyan's press secretary Tsovinar Khachatryan said.

"I announce that Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan will not attend the off-site meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and the 16th plenary session in Moscow on December 19," Khachatryan said in a statement circulated by the parliament's press service.

The Armenian parliament will not send its delegation to these meetings, she said.

"The Armenian parliament speaker notified [Russian] State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin of his decision in an official letter," Khachatryan said.
