Russia yet to consider format of participation in G20 summit - Peskov

MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Moscow has yet to consider the format of its participation in the G20 summit in Brazil in 2024 but will continue working in the G20 format anyway, the Kremlin said.

Brazil, a member of the International Criminal Court that issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, will host a G20 summit in 2024. Brazilian President Lula da Silva said that Putin could attend the summit and would be invited. He said later that the Russian president "should consider the consequences" of this decision on his own.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in that connection that Russia had yet to consider the format of its participation in the G20 summit.

"This has yet to happen but in any case, one way or another, Russia continues to take part in this forum," Peskov said.
