Total of 200 vessels with 7 mln tonnes of cargo aboard have used Ukrainian sea corridor since Aug 8 - deputy PM

MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - As many as 200 outbound vessels have passed through the maritime corridor unilaterally opened by Ukraine in August of this year, exporting 7 million tonnes of cargo from the Greater Odessa ports, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Alexander Kubrakov said.

"Since August 8, 200 vessels have left and 226 have entered [the ports through the corridor," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Kubrakov as saying in a social media post.

More than 7 million tonnes of cargo, including 5 million tonnes of agricultural products, have been exported from the Yuzhny, Odessa and Chernomorsk ports over this period, he said.

Thirty-one vessels are currently being loaded in the Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny ports, and another 30 are moving along the corridor in both directions, Kubrakov said.
