Russian passenger car market down 2.3% MoM in Nov to 109,706 units - Autostat

MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Sales of new passenger cars in Russia in November 2023 increased 2.1-fold in annual terms on last year's low base to 109,706 units, but were down compared to sales in October, analytical agency Autostat reported, citing data from JSC Passport Industrial Consulting (PPK).

Previously published PPK data show that 112,238 passenger cars were sold in Russia in October. The November number was slightly lower, declining 2.3% MoM.

PPK statistics include data on sales of automobile brands represented on the Russian market, while also taking parallel imports into account, which make up nearly 15% of the market cumulatively since the beginning of the year.

From January-November 2023, 939,254 new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 64.9% more than in the same period last year.
